Edsel “Ed” Arellano

Assistant Superintendent

A native of El Paso, Texas, Edsel “Ed” Arellano moved to Las Vegas at age 10. As an adult, he began working on the Las Vegas Strip in the hospitality industry before changing his trajectory toward construction, where he thought his problem-solving skills and innate curiosity were better put to work. He first worked as a stacker, framing walls, creating drain holes and constructing stands for air conditioning units while maintaining the quality conveyed in the original design plans. In a short time, he was promoted to assistant superintendent, a position he now holds at CapWest Development.

Ed holds a 30-hour construction safety and health certification from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and is bilingual, speaking fluent English and Spanish. In his spare time, he likes to remain active and spend time with his wife and son.
